Dog Bark Collar - Not as Inhumane as You Would Imagine

By Hannah Scott

Owning a dog can be great; they provide you with a lot of unconditional love and are always happy to see you when you get home. However, that can soon become stressful when your precious dog is barking and causing your neighbors problems. Barking is an everyday normal activity; however, there is a fine line between excessive barking and normal barking. A dog bark collar is a great way to help train your dog to stop his excessive baking.

Dog bark collars are not as inhuman as you would imagine. There are two main types of dog bark collars on the market. A static dog bark collar is the main collar that is used for many dogs around the world. This has a small box attached to a collar, when your dog barks; it picks up the noise and the vibration from your dog only, and corrects his behaviour with a vibration that will give him a fright. A static collar contains no electricity, so it will not hurt your dog at all.

A Citronella dog bark collar is the other main type of collar. This is a great option if you really do not want to use or if you do not like the idea of the static dog bark collar. Dogs really hate the smell of citronella, and when he or she barks, the dog bark collar sprays a burst of citronella near the dogs face and the dog will soon learn what happens when he or she barks.

Are you trying to train your dog to stop barking and finding that all you do is scream and yell at him or her?? This is very common, dogs are so easily trained, but its hard to sometimes break them out of their routines they have created themselves. A dog bark collar is great for training your dog quickly to stop barking. The best thing is you can train your dog to stop barking even when you are not home.

Every day there are neighbors out there suffering from barking dogs. Many of them are nice and might come and talk to you about your barking dog. But there are many neighbors out there that will not come to you and instead head to animal control in an attempt to have your dog taken away from you. Keeping your neighbour onside at all times is a must, especially if you are dealing with a dog that is barking excessively. - 30447
